Communicative tool 


Communicative tools in ICT are a broad category encompassing any digital technologies used to facilitate the creation, exchange, and sharing of information between individuals or groups. These tools play a crucial role in enabling real-time and asynchronous communication across vast distances.
Communicative tool are of two types namely asynchronous communication and synchronous communication. Synchronous:
  • Real-time: Synchronous communication and activities occur at the same time.
  • Immediate response: Participants involved expect an immediate response or feedback from each other.
  • Examples:
    • Live chat conversations
    • Video conferencing calls
    • Online gaming with real-time interaction
    • Face-to-face meetings or lectures

Asynchronous:

  • Independent of time: Asynchronous communication and activities can happen at different times. There's no expectation of immediate response.
  • Flexible scheduling: Participants can access information or contribute at their own convenience.
  • Examples:
    • Email communication (responses can be sent later)
    • Discussion forums (replies can be posted at any time)
    • Pre-recorded lectures or videos (watched on demand)
    • Completing online assignments at your own pace
Under this tool, we learned on how to create google classroom and its features. This tool is quite useful to the teachers in exchanging information to the students. 

Steps on how to create a google classroom is provided below. 
Search "classroom.google.com" on google.
2. Click on "Teacher" and Tap add + >Create class.
3. Enter the class name and add short description, grade level, or class time, tap on announcement and enter details like subject content and tap on save button.
4. Then go to people and add your Co-teachers and students.
5. Select Topic and add week and topic there.
6. To upload material, tap create, select material, add the title and upload the material under the particular topic.
7. To upload a PowerPoint, select it, assign it a title, tap create, and then post it under that particular topic.
8. To add a video, tap on create, select the material, add a title, and then submit the computer-generated or YouTube video under the relevant topic.
9.  Click "Create," choose "Assignment," enter the title, instructions, edit points, add rubrics, and submit the assignment under the relevant topic to assign it.
10. Tap Create, enter the quiz's title, select Blank Quiz, and then add questions and answers to start a new quiz. Click on Required after adding the responses, then click on Answers Key. After that, select Turns on Responses → Collect email addresses from the settings.
